Abstract Painting Workshops
These unique workshops are a way to delve into the world of Abstract Art, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Over the past 5 years, Megan has been passionately leading abstract painting workshops across the country, bringing creativity, connection and calm to a wide range of settings. From corporate events and private gatherings to parties and meaningful charity functions. The workshops offer participants a unique opportunity to slow down, express themselves and engage in intentional creativity.
In addition to her professional work, Megan volunteers her time with The Compassionate Friends, a charity supporting bereaved siblings. She facilitates mindful painting sessions during their bereavement supportive weekends, using art as a gentle and therapeutic way to navigate their grief. Through her compassionate approach, Megan helps individuals find comfort, healing and a sense of peace through creative expression.

What you’ll learn
In all canvas painting workshops you’ll learn elements of the below to help you create abstract paintings.
-
To begin the session we’ll explore colour theory to allow the participants to become familiar with acrylic paints.
-
The second step is to use the palette knives to create different paint application techniques.
-
Finally everyone will receive their own canvas to paint using the techniques which have been learnt.
-
'I really enjoyed the painting session, I loved being creative and trying a new technique and using that as a mindfulness tool. The group had really lovely, helpful and candid conversations and it was nice to talk about grief in a less structured way as well. Having something to focus on at the same time as talking about difficult subjects helps. Megan was a great teacher, very encouraging.

I loved the mindful painting workshop that Megan did! It was so fun & relaxing and she created a lovely, welcoming space to connect with other people whilst creating art. It was great to play with the paints and experiment with the different techniques that we learnt about in the class and the whole workshop was a perfect evening to be mindful, relax and get creative. I would highly recommend!

Megan's mindful painting workshop was the most wonderful reminder of what it's like to find joy in slowing down and creating - not because it's productive but because it's joyful! Megan explained the painting techniques really simply and they were easy to pick up, she encouraged us to go wild and set our inner child free! A peaceful, liberating evening all round.
